Trust in Him Completely

Have you ever had one of those days—or even months or seasons—when life doesn't turn out the way you thought or planned? I know I have.

During those dry, difficult seasons, I often find myself journaling and asking God questions. Lord, what are You showing me? What are You teaching me? What am I missing? I ask Him to reveal where I may have allowed thoughts into my mind and heart that don't align with His truth. Am I viewing my circumstances through my own understanding instead of through His promises?

As I reflect, I often realize that maybe, just maybe, I am not placing my complete faith and trust in God in all things.

Recently, I was talking with some dear friends—my sisters in Christ—and we were sharing how easy it is to view God through the limits of our own understanding. Even as we faithfully study His Word each day and gather together for Bible study and prayer, we can still find ourselves trying to fit God's ways into our own thoughts and imagination.

Yet, when we open the very first chapter of the Bible, we are reminded of who God truly is:

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." — Genesis 1:1

Just pause and think about those words. The God who created the heavens, the earth, and everything around us is far beyond anything our minds can fully comprehend. In His amazing love and kindness, all He asks of us is to love Him, obey Him, and trust Him.

"Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness. Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way,
you'll find he pulled it off perfectly!"
Psalm 37:3–5 (TPT)

Then, in the quietness of my heart, I hear Him whisper:

"Trust Me. Trust Me. I am always with you. I will never leave you or forsake you."

Lay down your fears, your doubts, the unknowns, and the uncertainties. Let go of your own way of doing things and become more open to God's ways by trusting Him completely.

Think of God as the “GPS” for your life's journey. When you allow Him to lead, He will faithfully guide you along the path He has prepared for you.

As we place our full faith and trust in God, He guides us through His Word and reveals the pathway He has designed specifically for us.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
(Romans 8-28)
